Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner #1 Black Ink

Claims - This innovative eyeliner offers the precision of liquid liner and the ease of a gel-based formula! Long wearing, water resistant color can be used to create subtle to dramatic looks! Apply with Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush! Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner is available in Black Ink, Black Mauve Shimmer Ink, Black Plum Ink, Caviar Ink, Chocolate Shimmer Ink, Espresso Ink, Forest Shimmer Ink, Granite Ink, Graphite Shimmer Ink, Ivy Shimmer Ink, Sepia Ink and Violet Ink!

Application technique - Dip the tip of Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush or your favorite eye liner brush into the gel formula! Coat both sides of brush head! Wipe off excess on tissue before applying to eye! Work quick as the product becomes transfer-resistant once dry!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner comes in a 3g wee glass pot/tub! Retails for £15! The shade we have is #1 Black Ink, supposedly the blackest black! Product doesnt have any fragrance! Correct me if I am wrong! Consistency is thick, creamy and gel-based! Make sure you tighten the lid once you are done! As mentioned earlier, its hard to work once the product is dry! It doesnt go even on the skin! Can get chunky whateva! Once dry, the product can turn powdery!

Not sure if I can call it downside, but I wish the pigmentation was more intense! Its the blackest black available yet, but I prefer jet black! May be, I should use a greater amount! My opinion, the price is just too much for my budget! For me, it's a splurge! I dont compare Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner to any gel liner available in the market coz its my first gel liner! So far, I have used liquid, felt-tip and gel-based liners! I find liquid the easiest, felt-tip trickiest and gel-based very professional! Do I sound insane?

The first time I used Bobbi Brown eyeliner, I was on cloud nine! I never thought it would be so damn easy! I heard it's water proof and staff told me the same! I applied this in the morning! I was very surprised to find this intact until I took it off! Only thing, it was not as pigmented as it was earlier! Who cares? Personally, I find lining the right eye is tougher compared to the left eye! Especially, Bobbi Brown eyeliner with Ecotools angled liner brush! Did you experience the same? Now, I totally forgot how it was with the other liners!

Gel liners dont come with any applicators, so pick your own tools! Bobbi Brown suggests Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush! If you are comfortable with your favorite eyeliner brush, that should be fine! I use the Ecotools angled liner brush! But, I love to try artist brushes from craft stores! You can also try any pointed brush, as well! Make sure you dont poke your eyes!

Many wonder if gel eye liners are water-line safe! My perspective, I am yet to try! My eyes are more towards watery and sensitive end! So, I hardly mess up with my makeup! But, will surely let you all know when I line my water line! You can use any oil-based eye make up remover to get rid of your eyeliner! If you are comfortable with your favorite makeup remover, that should be fine!

P.S - Requested by bestie! If you dont agree with my review, kindly ignore this post! As you can see, pictures are crappy! Bad weather, again! Lavanya, your mineral makeup review will be up soon! Sorry for the delay, sweetie!

Bobbi Brown Artist Lip Palette

Wondering why this blog is flooded with Bobbi Brown? Ever since I came to know this brand existed, I was partial to this. For some reason, BB brings a smile on my face. I always thought this works well on Indian skin tones, though never tried any. I was always lemming the BB train case full of makeup. Wish somebody answer my prayers :)

Okee, I came across this giant palette from BB and felt like sharing! So, here comes the ultimate collector’s palette - customized for professional makeup artists and lipstick devotees, exclusive online. From semi-matte, sheer, creamy, palest pinks to deepest plums, the Artist Palette has 42 reasons to try a new shade every day. It comes with 2 retractable lip brushes. Can we imagine the possibilities? Seriously, brushes and clear gloss can bring out the artist in you :)

Bobbi quotes " Lip color is an easy way to change your looks from day to evening and season to season."

As you can see, each side has 21 shades! Oops! This palette comes along with Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual, which includes 25+ years of experience distilled into one volume. Girls, I believe this was launched in 2008 as a limited edition. Kindly correct me if I was wrong! I am not into trends, as you see!

I was in Arctic for hibernation during this launch :)

Bobbi Brown Makeup Master Class

No woman needs more than 10 steps to make the difference. Most days, less than that! Decide whats most crucial and make that your every day regime. Each of us is blessed with a positive feature! Get to know that and play with it as much as you can. Here are the 10 steps:

Foundation: Use foundation wherever necessary, mostly under the eyes, around the mouth, nose and on any blemishes.

Concealer: Stick foundation doubles as a concealer. Blend it with finger - especially on the bone at the inner corner of the eyes and around the nose.

Powder: For mornings, apply loose powder with a velour puff, dust off with a big fluffy brush. Put some powder in the palm and press the puff into it and then, onto the face. Carry pressed powder for daytime touch-ups. Make sure it should not make you look pale.

Brows: Use a powder, instead with a hard-edged brush. Dont make them too dark. Just enough color to define them.

Eyeliner: Better do this before shadow. Try using a eyeliner brush dipped in dark shadow, wet or dry.

Eyeshadow: When more impact is needed just than your liner, sweep a neutral highlighter shade which doubles as a base to help shadow stay put. The more tired you are, the more you need shadow.

Blusher: The right shade can make you look young, pretty and fresh. You could try a neutral shade first and top up with a brighter one. The darker your skin, the more blush you need.

Lipstick: Personally, I prefer to apply this straight from the tube. Lip brushes make lipstick last longer. Lip stains are really natural-looking choice.

Lip pencil: If the lips need more definition, apply liner after lipstick. It looks less hard-edged.

Mascara: A good mascara should color and curl your lashes with just one coat. If you have to use an eyelash curler, there is something wrong with your mascara. BB hates lash curlers, by the way :)

According to Bobbi, evening beauty needs nothing more than the day makeup; the difference is in the colors. More foundation, deeper/brighter/shimmery lipstick, touch of pearl shadow to the brow bone. Try darker colors on the eyes: charcoal/navy/slate. Remember, darker...not heavier! The mistake most women make is to go for a complete change. If the colors need blending on the skin, you are wearing the wrong makeup. Try and look natural!
