What's In Divija's Bag?

So here I am back with my first post! I couldn't think of anything else when I wanted to make a come back! Not a designer bag or any hep kind, but just a typical fabric bag with a bling factor! I always wanted a bag in some shade of pink, hence this one! Well, this baby is from the Westside for 600 Indian Rupees! I found it damn expensive, but Westside being my Heaven-On-Earth, I couldnt complain! At least for the looks! I dont Match-To-The-Extreme, so I feel it goes well with white, silver, brown, black, pink and beige outfits! You might not like the way I do, but that's me!

Here comes the junk of my bag - Jute Wallet from New Look UK, beach glasses from BHS UK, black glass case from Primark UK, clutch-kinda bag from The Body Shop, hair accessories, pen, 6-year-old Oriflame hair brush, Body Shop White Musk Eau De Toilette, MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, Love ETC mini body butter from Body Shop, Benetton Sport perfume, Seacret Spa Moisturizer in Wild Kiwi, Carrot moisturizer from Body Shop, Clinique Sun Block SPF 40 and a transparent pouch with refreshments like honey-coated gooseberry, chocolates, mouth freshners and spicy dry mango!

Here comes the clutter of my makeup bag - As mentioned above, this makeup bag is supposed to be a freebie with a purchase from Body Shop! I have the same kinda clutch in Orange as well, so I keep changing according to the bag! I know you can find only garbage in my clutch, but I have this fascination for lip products! TBS Papaya lip butter, Clinique All About Eyes, Vaseline Rosy Lips, 2true Cheek n Lip Stain, TBS Hot Brights Lips n Cheeks in #1, Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in #10 Grapefruit, L'Oreal Glam Shine Blush gloss in #155 Plum Blush, MAC Lustre Lipstick in Capricious, Bourjois Paris Effet 3D gloss in #43 Rouge Classic, Oriflame lip balm and Oriflame Hydra Comfort Lipstick in #4326 Cranberry Crush!

Street Wear Nail Color in #10 Pluto's, Oriflame Face Primer, 4-year-old Lakme Jewel Sindoor in Maroon, Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black, Oriflame Lash Booster, Oriflame Wonder Lash Waterproof Mascara, Oriflame Lash Explosion Mascara and Clinique High Impact Mascara! Mirror, Vega eyelash curler, safety pins, nail clipper, Shingar Kajal and my favorite mikabuki brush! Lastly, a pair of earrings just in case!

Too many mascaras, right? Off late, I tried and tested a couple of mascaras from Oriflame! Not only mascaras but other products like shampoo, conditioners etc! Wondering why is Oriflame everywhere? I use Oriflame since 2005! I dont think you would wanna look into my wallet as its nothing but crap! Just bills, cards and cash! The contents keep changing, but I dont think my bag will go down in weight! At least in the near future!

Hope y'all had fun with this post! If you did not, kindly ignore this post! Will see you all soon in the near future with another bag, hopefully better and different contents this time! Might not be the best of everything, but I love my bag and of course the junk inside! What can I say? I am a big-time junkie!

P.S. - I dedicate this post to my besties and a far away friend who was always eager to explore my bag!!! Until next time! Have a beautiful day!

Any Ideas?

What do I call it? How do I use it? Wallet? Pouch? Clutch? For summer? Spring? Beach bag? I dont know! All I know, I have an idea how to use this! Promise me you would not end up rolling on the floor! I wanna make this my travel makeup bag! See, I told you! You are laughing :(

To be honest, I am not a coordination person! My accessories and outfit do not go together! I prefer white dress and black accessories, for instance! Well, thats me! Today, I got this bag for 2 pounds :) Look at the colors! Strawberries! LOVE! Its some kinda weave outside, but has a synthetic layering inside! One zipper and mobile pouch! I am not sure how to use this, but! Any ideas?

Bags I would die for # 3

This is another bag from the Italian Label Fendi i.e. Spy bag. This comes in all possible colors, I believe. I have seen this in oranges, lilacs, blacks, metallics, browns, greens etc

Here comes my interest:

The basic black, brown and textured metallic ones......OMG....I love all the three! Supposedly retailed for 2740 $...

Bags I would die for # 2

Another bag of my interest has to be be from the French Label Louis Vuitton i.e. Damier Speedy 35. This version comes in different colors, I believe...

I basically like the shape of this bag...like a doctor's bag! Throw any bag of this particular shape and I can flaunt without hesitation.

Bags I would die for # 1

Alright, here is one of the bags I would die for...hmmm....may be in my dreams!

This bag was from the Italian Label Prada Fall/winter 2006/07 collection called as Gauffre Antik Tote. Sold for a small fortune of 1800$, according to fabsugar.com.

For me, it could work more over like a weekend bag...in case!

Winnie the Pooh!

You all must be wondering "What's this girl up to?" I know I sound stupid, but this is what I am about to share now...

I bought this little baby for about almost 3 pounds from WH Smith, a stationary giant in UK. Then, this was the only piece left waiting for my attention, of course! Last week on my visit to the post office in WH Smith, the shop was literally flooded with these like tonnes of them lying everywhere......for almost 4 pounds.

I dont have much about to say, but still here comes my 2 cents...this is supposed to be a hand bag pencil case, which I never would need again in my life...yay! I know thats a very bad yay.....but you must know something about me here...

I am usually a pack rat and want everything in vicinity. So, what do I normally do with this case? I carry my lip glosses or lipsticks around! I love gel pens though I dont use them practically! I carry those around! I love the colors of this pouch, too simple yet eye-catching! Especially, the little heart-like charm dangling...

My hubby wanted a pouch for loose change, so I had to sacrifice......boo-hoo! I know I am being too good these days...

Can you see...the pink zipper...OMG...I love that! Beige background with lilacs, oranges, pinks and blacks...muted to some extent, but bright.......to some extent!

Republic Soul Cal Floral Spotty Wallet

This Floral Spotty wallet was for 9.99 pounds, which I felt was too much for the concept of coordination. Though it was big enough, I somehow did not feel the need! Trying to be good these days :)

Republic Soul Cal Floral Spotty 2-pocket Purse

This is the 2-pocket purse from Republic Soul Cal Floral Spotty collection. This was also for 19.99/20 pounds. If you can remember the price of the 2-pocket purse was similar to the slouch and that was why I chose the slouch over this. You know, my priority will definitely be room space while choosing a bag. The two pockets in the front definitely make task much easier for me.

I simply adore the floral charm, which makes the boxy-bag more lovable.

Have a happy weekend!

Kalamkari hobo bag

Ok, so this has been my new friend since June. I actually bought this baby for Rs. 590 in Kurta Company. I found this new store in Cosmos Mall near to my home. By the way, Cosmos is near ITPL Road in Bangalore. Its a hobo bag made of kalamkari fabric.

Kalamkari is either type of hand-painted or block-printed. Its a very old art which dates back to the ages of Golconda sultanate. The cotton fabric gets its glossiness by immersing it for an hour in a mixture of resin and cow milk. Contours and reasons are then drawn with a point in bamboo soaked in a mixture of jagri (might be jaggery) fermented and water; one by one these are applied, then the vegetable dyes. After applying each color, the Kalamkari is washed. Thus, each fabric can undergo up to 20 washings. Various effects are obtained by using cow dung, seeds, plants and crushed flowers. I personally do not know how these are made. (Courtesy: Wiki)

The only disadvantage is the colour of bag catches easily to anything it comes in contact with, especially if you wear pastel colours, you have to be more cautious. That too, red being a fast colour, my jute wallet was totally ruined, but I can excuse...I especially like the gold colour floral motif on the front side. I think it added more grace to it. I didnt like the K/Co. stamp in the front part. It could have stayed somewhere backstage so the bag could look more graceful. Never mind...monkey mind...

I always felt that I can never go wrong with kalamkari as I am an ardent fan of that art. I even own a couple of kalamkari salwars.

The hobo bag is a style thats typically large and characterized by a crescent or half-moon shape and a long strap to wear over the shoulder. I always like hobo as it has more room than a regular bag. Might be because of the shape whatever...I love this...........mmmuaaaaaa..........

Checkerboard Cosmetic Bag

My little black pouch; supposed to be a cosmetic bag, but now a new home for my Ipod. I bought this li'l baby during 2008 Christmas, actually non-sale item. I bought this for 3.50 pounds.

This is ideal for travelling and lets all your cosmetics sit in so you dont have to worry about the leaks and spills. I know any normal wash bag can do this job, but this is a classic piece according to me. So, it always has a special place in my collection and I love it. You can never go wrong with it, especially if it is black.

The price range of M&S always seems to be high-end and not my regular choice except for the accessories and cosmetics. They also seem to have good cosmetics like I have tried their lip gloss wands. Normally you dont find cosmetics online, but instore you get a wide range to choose over. For me, M& S has always been a perfect place for window shopping :))))))))))))))))
