Body Shop Nature's Minerals Foundation SPF25

Claims - A premium, up-to-the-minute loose powder foundation made from minerals! Long-lasting, blendable powders act like a veil to help defend the skin against sun damage with SPF 25! Ultra light powders apply evenly and blend easily for a radiant, natural-looking complexion! Color builds easily to provide an adjustable light to medium coverage! Effectively reduces the appearance of redness, imperfections, blemishes and visible pores! Helps minimize the appearance of fine lines! Clinically proven as suitable for sensitive skin! Dermatologically tested! Non pore-clogging!

Nature's Minerals makeup has no added preservatives! Fragrance-free! Oil-free! Contains nature's finest minerals! 5 g tub retails for 1145 INR in the Indian market! Originally retails for £15 in UK! Shade #6 retails for £7.50, for some reason! US, retails for $25! Body Shop UK has 8 shades whereas Body Shop India has 6 shades! TBS India has shades #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 and #6! Additionally, #0 is available only in UK! #6 and #0 are not available in the US market!

Packaging is the same for Nature's Minerals range! The lid shimmery black! The show stealer is the mesh/net sifter, not the porous ones! The product hardly goes waste! The best part, SPF 25!

My first thoughts on Body Shop Nature's Minerals Foundation SPF25! Remember, they might change as well! So soft to touch! Just the way Fuller's Earth/Multani Mitti feels to touch! I am not sure if that's got anything to do with the foundation, but I can detect some inky smell! The harder I tried to sniff, the faster I began to sneeze! Excuse me!

I wish Body Shop introduced a wider spectrum of shades to suit all skin tones! It would do good to people like me! I can get makeup and bath & body products at the same store! #6 and #7 suit darker skin tones! Lesser the number, lighter the shade! Blends like a dream! Provided, you master the blending techniques! As per the claim, its buildable! Gives light to medium coverage! Feels light on the skin! Oil control part is not exceptional! Stays for about a couple of hours!

Application - Turn the tub upside down to help the powder deposit in the lid! Work the powder into your brush! Tap off any excess! Use circular motion to apply! Re-apply to build coverage! Perfect partner is Nature's Minerals Foundation Brush! Retails for 1145 INR, $26 or £15! No harm if you are comfortable with your favorite foundation brush/kabuki!

Key Ingredients - Kaolin clay is and Mediterranean clay are absorbent minerals that provide long lasting coverage! Mica adds lustre and has light diffusing properties to help disguise fine lines and pores! Titanium dioxide and iron oxide provide a natural-looking color palette and protects the skin from sun!

Ingredients - Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Kaolin, Illite. Pots are recyclable and lids include recycled material! No fillers!

P.S - Review requested by Lavanya, hence dedicated to her!

  8. they sound pretty nice! I was hooked on to mineral foundations for the past few years but have given them up now. I found they never gave me the coverage I wanted. But will try this out in the store for sure :)

  9. Hey Divija,

You are on and on about Body Shop and you know they are just worth it.I liked the mineral eyeshadows and the blushes for their finely milled and lid n cheek-adhering properties. Not very happy with the fact that the foundations have a KAOLIN clay which even if very finely milled can still clog pores.I like the Clinique Superbalanced Powder mineral foundation though,......I have the foundation and the lip brush from Body shop and I swear by it wherever I go....not a fan of their eyeshadow and blush brush though. They could go streaky...

Body shop has wonderful offers in India so you wont be left behind...

    Ciao
